Pirate Goods is a boutique workshop based in Kyiv, Ukraine, founded by Vitalii Hilevych. Emerging from a background in film during the 2020 lockdowns, the brand transformed a personal passion for leathercraft into a specialized EDC (Everyday Carry) business. The name reflects a childhood obsession with pirate lore, now serving as an honest identity for goods designed for resilience. The workshop remains fully operational, emphasizing survival, utility, and enduring craftsmanship through years of adversity.
Inspirations
The aesthetic is raw, utilitarian, and built for the rigors of daily use. Products focus on high-quality vegetable-tanned leathers that prioritize texture, natural scent, and the development of a deep, unique patina over time. The construction is characterized by sturdy hand-stitching, minimalist profiles, and a “clean, rugged” finish. Each piece is designed to solve common pocket-clutter problems, utilizing thick, durable hides that offer a tactile, sensory connection to traditional leatherworking techniques.
